The Creative Fund is designated to offer compensation for writers and creatives who contribute to the magazine. This fund is used exclusively to cover the cost of mailing a print copy of the magazine to a contributor, and, if funds are available, distribute a financial gift to artists and writers.

Here is what is costs us to send a print copy to a contributor along with our desired compensation based on the type of submission:

  • To send (1) print copy of a contributor magazine it costs us $18
  • Photo submission: (varies) starting at $15
  • Poetry or short writeup: $25
  • Writer compensation for a full article: $50
  • Featured Artist compensation: (varies) most will be $75

Paola Lane invites individuals and businesses to sponsor or donate to the Creative Fund to financially bless creatives.

  • We do not actively solicit business ads that would normally support operations and expenses for a magazine.
  • Subscriptions alone do not cover operational costs.
  • In lieu of ads, we want to invite our community of readers and business owners to directly bless the creatives that make each issue so enjoyable.

All proceeds (after credit card fees) go into a fund that is used specifically to compensate people for writing articles, poems, etc. Monies are used first to print Contributor Copies. Any additional funds are then shared among the creatives that contribute. The amount given to an individual will be based on three factors:

  1. Monies available in the Creatives Fund
  2. Their experience
  3. The type of work submitted

Whatever is collected in the fund for each issue will be distributed among the creatives at the sole discretion of the executive team. We will include the names of those who donated to this fund in the subsequent edition of the magazine. This is NOT tax-deductible.
